This beautiful nineteenth century Granary barn is set in the idyllic village of South Stoke, a truly magical location, nestling between the meandering River Arun and the rolling South Downs, and only two miles from the historic town of Arundel.
The barn is one of just five built on farms around Arundel by the Duke of Norfolk in the late 1800’s and the only one left in its original form, most of the others are now converted to houses.
It is virtually unchanged since it was first built, and the timber beams upstairs create a stunning back drop to whatever dining you choose, with seating for up to 120 guests. On the ground floor there is an open fronted reception area that spills out on to the landscaped lawns with outdoor seating.
We only hold events from April to September, as when the sun starts to shine, South Stoke really comes alive.
As the season begins to blossom, the fields and hedgerows explode into life, and as you look out from the barn towards the downs, nature, in all it’s glory is laid out before you.
Our aim at South Stoke barn, is to allow you the freedom to create your own special day, but we are always on hand to help you achieve this.
We have just one wedding a week, with access to the barn from Thursday, giving you plenty of time to decorate and style the barn to your choice. We want to help you create a relaxed day so that you can really enjoy the whole experience.
As well as hosting weddings we also support a number of other events throughout the year here at South Stoke, including theatre productions, art exhibitions and charity fundraising for the village church, St Leonards.

Exit the A27, enter Arundel and then head towards the Black Rabbit pub. Take the road behind the pub, and then turn left at the top of the hill. Follow the road round to South Stoke - we are on the left.
